In October 2014, the Colonial Automotive Group joined forces with Clay Chase to establish the Colonial Municipal Group.
Clay has over 30 years of experience in the municipal vehicle market. He is well-known and highly respected in the industry.
Involved in the auto business all his life, Clay has guided several companies that service municipalities, and he has developed sweeping expertise about the industry. He is also responsible for a number of advancements in the industry that have had a tremendous impact on the way municipalities purchase vehicles and how their service needs are met.
Clay was instrumental in establishing the collective bid process that allows municipalities to join together and benefit from volume pricing. Similarly, he helped form the very first such group in the state, which now includes nearly 250 cities, towns, and organizations. He has since done the same for other volume pricing groups, including the Plymouth County Commissioners, MAPC, DCR, DOT, MBTA, and the Office of Vehicle Management for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Over his years servicing the needs of municipal customers, Clay has identified key issues that municipalities face because of the unique nature of their vehicles. He has been instrumental in fostering the “Your Total Satisfaction Company” approach to supporting the needs of municipal and commercial customers. By structuring his business model as “One Stop Shop for Municipal Vehicles, Parts and Equipment” Clay has addressed, head on, the customer service challenges municipalities face.
Colonial Municipal Group, under Clay’s guidance, will continue to excel at meeting the needs of municipal and commercial customers.
